Certified Secure Web
Applications Engineer (CSWAE)

Learn to attack, review, test and secure web applications end to end. CSWAE takes you from HTTP fundamentals and the OWASP Top 10 through injection, authentication, API and logic attacks, to secure code review, a full web application pentest and a security-integrated CI/CD pipeline.

Duration 30 Days Live Training
Mode Online / Offline
Includes Verifiable Certificate

Curriculum

13 Modules — From HTTP Basics to Secure SDLC

The CSWAE (Certified Secure Web Applications Engineer) course by CyberHackz is a 30-day, instructor-led web application security training in India. Across 13 modules you learn the OWASP Top 10, injection and authentication attacks, API and GraphQL security, secure code review, web application penetration testing and Secure SDLC — and finish with a verifiable certificate.

Web Application Security

HTTP, cookies, Same-Origin Policy, Burp Suite and lab setup.

OWASP Top 10

Juice Shop and WebGoat walkthrough of every Top 10 category.

Threat Modeling & Risk Management

STRIDE, data flow diagrams on a sample app, risk rating.

Application Mapping

Subdomains, ffuf, Nuclei, technology fingerprinting.

Authentication & Authorization Attacks

Brute force, JWT forgery, IDOR, privilege escalation.

Session Management Attacks

Session fixation, hijacking, CSRF.

Application Logic Attacks

Payment tampering, race conditions.

Data Validation

SQLi, NoSQLi, XSS, command injection, SSTI, XXE, SSRF, file upload, LFI.

AJAX Attacks (+ API)

DOM XSS, REST and GraphQL attacks, BOLA.

Code Review & Security Testing

Semgrep, manual review of PHP, Node and Python code, patching.

Web Application Penetration Testing

Scoping, full pentest, CVSS scoring, report writing.

Secure SDLC

CI/CD with ZAP and Semgrep, security headers.

Cryptography

TLS, hashing, password storage, JWT and crypto misuse.

Training Structure

How This Course Is Delivered

Live Instructor-Led Sessions

Real-time instruction from working application security professionals, with every module paired to a hands-on lab.

Hands-On Practice Labs

OWASP Juice Shop, WebGoat and custom vulnerable apps — every attack class is exploited, then fixed.

Attack, Review, Patch

Break the app, read the vulnerable PHP, Node and Python code, then ship the patch and verify it.

Recorded Sessions

All live sessions are recorded. Replay any module, any time, until you are confident.

Outcomes

What You Will Be Able To Do

Model Threats & Rate Risk

Apply STRIDE, draw data flow diagrams and rate risk before a single line of code is attacked.

Exploit Real Vulnerabilities

Find and exploit injection, authentication, session, logic, API and server-side flaws in live labs.

Review & Fix Code

Combine Semgrep with manual review to find vulnerabilities in source code and write secure patches.

Run a Full Web Pentest

Scope an engagement, test methodically, score findings with CVSS and deliver a professional report.

FAQ

Common Questions

Basic familiarity with web technologies (HTML, HTTP, one programming language) is enough. Module 1 covers HTTP, cookies, the Same-Origin Policy and lab setup from scratch.
Both. You learn to attack web applications the way a pentester does, then read and patch the vulnerable code the way a secure developer does, and finally build security into the CI/CD pipeline.
Manual review is done on PHP, Node.js and Python applications, alongside automated scanning with Semgrep. You also write and verify the patches.
Yes. Module 9 covers REST and GraphQL attacks, DOM XSS and BOLA, and API issues appear throughout the authentication, logic and data validation labs.
A laptop with 8GB+ RAM, Burp Suite Community (free) and a Kali or Parrot VM. All labs use free, open-source tools and intentionally vulnerable apps; setup walkthroughs are provided.
Yes. On completion you receive a CyberHackz CSWAE certificate with a unique verification ID, verifiable online 24/7 by employers and recruiters.
Online and offline batches are available. Check the Batch Schedule for the next available dates.
